Privacy Policy
This privacy policy explains how DealRadar B.V. ("DealRadar", "we", "us") collects and processes personal data in connection with the website dealradart.com. We are established at Grote Kruisstraat 73, 9712 TR Groningen, Netherlands, and are subject to Dutch law and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
1. Data controller
DealRadar B.V. is the data controller for personal data processed through this website. If you have questions about how we handle your data, you can contact us at the address above or by phone at +31 50 314 4639.
2. What data we collect and why
2.1 Contact form submissions
When you submit a message through our contact form, we collect your name, email address, and the content of your message. We use this data to respond to your enquiry. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to correspondence directed to us (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). We retain contact form data for 24 months, after which it is deleted.
2.2 Email newsletter
If you subscribe to email updates, we collect your email address and the date of subscription. We use this to send you new article notifications. The legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw consent at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email we send you. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing prior to withdrawal.
2.3 Analytics
If you accept analytics cookies, we collect data about how you interact with this website, including pages visited, time on page, and the general device type and browser used. This data is aggregated and used only to understand which content is useful. We do not use it for advertising targeting. The legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw this consent at any time by adjusting your cookie preferences.
2.4 Server logs
Our hosting provider automatically records standard server log data, including your IP address (in anonymised form), the pages you request, and the time of requests. This is necessary for the technical operation of the website and is retained for 30 days. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in maintaining a functioning website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
3. Cookies
We use essential cookies required for the website to function, and optional analytics cookies that are set only with your consent. For full details, see our Cookie Policy.
4. Data sharing
We do not sell personal data. We do not share personal data with third parties for advertising purposes. If we use a third-party email service to send newsletters, that provider processes email addresses as a data processor under our instruction and under a data processing agreement. We do not currently operate an analytics service that shares data with advertising networks.
5. Your rights under GDPR
Under the GDPR you have the following rights in relation to personal data we hold about you:
- Right of access — you can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Right to rectification — you can ask us to correct inaccurate data.
- Right to erasure — you can ask us to delete your personal data where we no longer have a legitimate reason to retain it.
- Right to restriction — you can ask us to restrict processing of your data in certain circumstances.
- Right to data portability — where processing is based on consent or contract and carried out by automated means, you can request your data in a machine-readable format.
- Right to object — you can object to processing based on legitimate interests.
- Right to withdraw consent — where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address provided in section 1. We will respond within one month. If you believe we are handling your data unlawfully, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch supervisory authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).
6. International transfers
We aim to keep personal data within the European Economic Area. If any data processing occurs outside the EEA — for example, through a hosting or email service provider — we ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place, such as Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.
7. Children
This website is not directed at children under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we update the "last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be noted on the homepage for 30 days after the update.
