Deal intelligence from Groningen
Is the discount
actually a deal?
Most "sales" are just higher prices with a percentage sticker. We track what things actually cost and tell you when to buy.
What's on radar now
The signal board
Every week we scan hundreds of retailer feeds, compare prices against 90-day history, and flag the ones worth your time. Anything below a B score doesn't make it here.

Not just a percentage
We rate every deal on four factors, not just the discount sticker. A 60% off label means nothing if the reference price was inflated.
What did this actually cost 90 days ago?
The first thing we check is the 90-day price floor. Retailers routinely inflate reference prices before a sale. If the "original" price was only the list price for three days in October, the discount is theatre. We use aggregated price history data from EU comparison tools.
A deal only passes this check if the current price is genuinely below the median price over the trailing 90 days — not just below a reference price.
Is this the right time to buy?
Seasonal patterns matter. A laptop that goes on sale every August for three weeks is not worth buying in June just because it's 15% off. We factor in category-specific buying windows. Electronics near end-of-quarter. Appliances in January and August. Fashion at week 6 of a season, not week 2.
Can you stack cashback on top?
An already-decent deal often becomes significantly better when a cashback portal is running a bonus rate on the same retailer. We track portal rates for Dutch shoppers (Scoupy, Daisycon networks, major EU portals) and flag when stacking is possible. Some deals jump a full grade just from cashback.
Is there a better option nearby?
Sometimes the deal is real but a comparable product is 30% cheaper right now. We check product alternatives when the category allows it — particularly in electronics, home goods, and fashion basics where specs are comparable across brands. A B-rated deal can drop to a C if a better alternative exists.

How this works
We combine four factors: price history (is this actually below the 90-day median?), timing (is now a good window for this category?), cashback potential (can you stack additional savings?), and availability of alternatives at a better price. Each factor is weighted and produces a letter grade from A+ to C.
Some articles contain affiliate links, clearly marked. These earn a small commission when you make a purchase. This does not influence the Deal Score — a deal with no affiliate link can receive an A+ and one with a link can receive a C. The score reflects price reality, not what's profitable for us.
Our primary focus is the Netherlands, with EU-wide coverage for major retailers that ship across borders (Bol.com, Amazon.de/nl, Coolblue, MediaMarkt NL, and major fashion retailers). Cashback guide coverage is focused on Dutch portals and the major EU networks.
The signal board reflects the current week's analysis — published every Monday morning. Individual deal pages are updated when prices change significantly. We don't auto-update timestamps to create false urgency; if a deal expires it gets removed or downgraded, not relabelled as "updated today".
